Your first cluster

When you land on a cluster, you're looking at a proposal, not a finished result. The system gathered a few articles, judged them to be the same story, and is waiting for your decision — accept or reject. This page shows how to judge a cluster and make that decision deliberately.

#Before you judge: what passed the filter

Clusters are built only from articles the goal's filter accepted. There are not two separate article lists — there is one Feed with a view switch:

• Before filter shows everything the crawler collected;
• After filter shows only the articles that made it into clusters.

The reasoning behind individual decisions lives in the separate Filter tab.

#Where a candidate comes from

The system creates a candidate once an article crosses the goal's similarity threshold, but the cluster hasn't yet collected the minimum article count. A candidate waits, collecting further matching articles — until nothing new arrives, and it's up to you to decide.

#What to look at when judging a cluster

Go to Goal → Clusters. A candidate sits in the Candidates tab, next to Active, Sent to Post moderation, Rejected, and Expired — the same five states as in the figure above. Before you decide, check the cluster card for:

• the source count — the card labels it sources; one source echoed by aggregators is not the same as three independent newsrooms covering the same story;
• coherence — sort the cluster list by Coherence; that ordering shows which clusters hold together as one story and which are a random pile of similar words;
• the time spread — the publication dates of the articles in the cluster; a wide spread can mean the cluster merged an old event with a new one that shares no real thread;
• article titles — read them before you trust the cluster's own description; different titles pointing at the same story confirm relevance better than a single summary sentence.

#When to reject

• One source, many echoes. Three "sources" quote the exact same article from a single source — aggregators just copied the headline, so the cluster has no independent confirmation.
• A pile with no shared story. Articles landed in one cluster because of similar wording, not a similar story — every title is about something else and nothing ties them together beyond shared vocabulary.
• Material from before the window. The articles are genuine and on topic, but describe an event from weeks ago — the goal monitors the current situation, not archival reminders.
• A candidate that will never grow. One article, one source, no further publications in days — leaving it waiting only postpones the same decision.

#What happens after you accept

An accepted cluster reaches Post moderation as a result — in direct mode or through a workflow — and either waits for review or goes straight to delivery.

#Moderating a single result

Open Goal → Post moderation. It opens on the Needs approval tab, which is what awaits your decision; next to it are All, Delivered, Failed, Approved, and Rejected.

The list sits on the left and the preview of the selected result on the right. In the preview you switch between the content, its sections, the execution run, and dispatch, while the decision bar at the bottom lets you reject, approve, or send the result. You can edit the title and the body in place, and regenerate a single section — if that section carries human edits, the system asks before overwriting them.

#Full-screen view

The Full screen button above the tabs expands the result to the full width of the window. It is not a trimmed-down reading view: it carries the same tabs and the same decision bar, so you can approve, reject, and send from there too. The ← and → keys move to the next result without closing the overlay.

#The agent panel

For a result tied to a cluster you can open the agent panel and ask for changes in plain language — the agent answers with proposals that you accept or reject section by section. Nothing enters the result without your approval. In full screen the panel docks to the right edge so it does not hide under the overlay.

#A post with no cluster

To write something no cluster brought in, use the New post button in the top bar. It creates an empty post in the current goal and opens it straight away in the full-screen view with the agent panel. From there you moderate it like any other result.
